Possible dangers of Lasik eye surgery include:
Corneal ectasia (also called "kerectasia" or "keratectasia") is an infrequent but serious complication of LASIK surgery. If the laser removes too much tissue during LASIK or the flap made too deep, the structure of the cornea can be weakened. This weakening can cause the cornea to bulge forward in an irregular fashion, causing increasing astigmatism and distorted vision that cannot be corrected with eyeglasses, contact lenses, or a LASIK enhancement surgery. In its most extreme form, treatment of ectasia may require a corneal transplant.
Irregular astigmatism can result from a less than smooth corneal surface. Irregular astigmatism also can occur from laser correction that is not centered properly on the eye. Resulting symptoms may include double vision (diplopia) or "ghost images." In these cases, the eye may need re-treatment or an enhancement.
Significant Undercorrection, Overcorrection, or Regression: This means that your outcome is less than optimal and makes it difficult to function in certain situations. There are various reasons for these problems. In many cases, the cause is simply that a patient's eyes did not respond to laser eye surgery in a predictable fashion. But it's also possible that results are related to an inaccurate diagnosis or incorrect settings programmed into software guiding the laser during
Dry Eye After LASIK: Almost half of all patients report problems with dry eyes in the first six months following LASIK, according to the April 2006 issue of American Journal of Ophthalmology. These complaints appear related to reduced sensitivity of the eye's surface immediately following the procedure.
Infections
Although the risk of infection after Lasik eye surgery is relatively low, it has been known to occur. Surgeons will typically prescribe antibodies after surgery to help lessen the chance of infection.
Poor Night Vision
Poor night vision from Lasik eye surgery usually occurs when your surgeon misses a spot or two around the cornea. It causes inability to see accurately at night, also causes you to see glares in your vision. Once again, rely on a very well trained surgeon to perform your Lasik eye surgery. The more experienced the surgeon, the less likely that you are to suffer side effects such as poor night vision. |

"Vision without Glasses"
"Hi Doctor! I want to give a personal testimonial and highly recommend your program for anyone that wants to improve their vision. I have been suffering from short-slightness since a very young age. I was considering laser surgery but it’s expensive and dangerous. Fortunately, after giving a try to this modest program, my vision improved to a degree that I hardly need to wear contacts anymore"

William Horatio Bates, M.D., (1860–1931)
Doctor Bates spent years studying vision problems. He attended and graduated from Cornell University and became a teacher and researcher of ophthalmology in the New York area. Bates created many vision improvement methods and believed that anyone can see without glasses. His methods were developed and improved upon by some great Natural Vision Improvement Teachers but the Bates method continues to be the cornerstone of the science of natural eye care and vision improvement |

Eye Can See
"Eyes Can See" is a book that maps out a wide range of alternative, techniques, exercises, and visualizations, and lifestyle choices from around the world to help you support and improve your eye health, comfort and vision…all on your own. A great number of these alternatives cannot be found in the Western world. A fairly basic book good on the fundamentals

The classic work on vision improvement by the pioneer ophthalmologist who practiced in the early 1900s. Bates noted unexplainable improvement in some patients' vision and developed techniques which have helped thousands to improve their eyesight.
The Bates’ Method is actually quite simple. He created a large chart full of common shapes and letters. The chart was placed on the wall in the front of the classroom and the children were encouraged to look over at the chart whenever they felt overwhelmed. Even looking at the chart for three minutes a day, takes the strain away from the eyes.
The only reason I did not give this book a five star rating is because in the review belowProfessor Duke Peterson includes it as a bonus in his updated version of The Bates Method |

You can say Professor Duke Peterson, followed the footsteps of Dr. Bates on his own career path. But, not only did the Doctor Bates influence his decision to start his own corrective eye institute, he also spent 5 years modernising and perfecting the Bates method.
Besides devouting himself to learning how to use the Bates method, he also developed his original sight improving concept using the cornerstones of the Bates Method and turned it into a more innovative method that's far more advanced in helping you see sharper, clearer, in only a few, short weeks.
The Prof. is such an avid follower of the Bates Method that for a limited time he is offering Dr Bates book as a bonus along with his own |

A Personal Footnote
My personal preference is "Vision Without Glasses" based on my natural curiosity to want to know "everything" about everything. It is more in depth as to the whys and wherefores
If your a no nonsense lets just get it done person you should look at the Janet Goodrich, Ph.D. products she is a little bit pricier but her kits come with all the equipment you need plus a lot more.
Eye Can See is a good book if you already have a basic understanding of the Bates Method and Eye exercises. The facts are that even if you bought all three books you would spend a lot less than you would on glasses, contacts or risky laser/lasik surgery |

| One of the most important senses you have is you eyesight, so you'll want to do everything you can to make sure that your eyes are in the best condition at all times. One of the best ways to do this is to make sure that you're getting an eye exam at least once a year, and if you are already having vision problems and need to wear glasses or contacts, you should practice proper eye care strategies to make sure that your vision does not get any worse. |
| Going through a natural detoxification process or cleansing will do wonders for improving your eyesight. While most people think that the detox process is mainly for people that want to lose weight or get rid of parasites, getting rid of the impurities in your body will stop the blurriness in your vision, and will strengthen your eyes so that you can see better at night. For the detoxification process, you'll want to drink vegetable and fruit juices that are rich in vitamin A, so carrot and beet juices are ideal. However, too much vitamin A can cause serious kidney problems, so be sure to balance out these juices with green juices, such as pureed spinach juice or liquids made from cabbage and celery. |
